Stay involved
The RTA will continue to consult with landowners and the community about the preferred concept design. Your comments on the preferred concept design should be sent to the address shown on the Contact Us page.
All community comments received will be considered during the environmental assessment. This assessment would be undertaken closer to the time of expected construction (see Development process page)
What happens next?
Following the display of the preferred concept design, the RTA will consider the issues raised in any comments received and re-examine the design. Once this process is finalised, the relevant local councils will be approached to formally reserve the corridor in their local environmental plans. The boundaries of the corridor will be based on the final preferred concept design.
Timing of construction will depend on funding availability. Once this is determined, an environmental assessment will commence and planning approval will be sought to allow construction to commence.
