Aurecon has run the annual Bridge Building Competition for Year 8 students since 2000. In 2006, due to popular demand, the competition was opened to include Year 9 students.

The competition is sponsored by Engineers Australia Victorian Division and supported by Scienceworks Museum, VicRoads and Connex, and is judged by Connell Wagner, VicRoads and Connex engineers.

Through this exciting and challenging competition we encourage students to experience some of the practical applications of engineering and its importance to communities. We also encourage them to consider a career in engineering and related professions.
