Moving beyond aid

IDSS Pty Ltd is one of Australia's best known international development consulting companies. In 2008, IDSS celebrated 25 years of providing quality services to governments and working with communities across Asia and the Pacific.

Over it's 25 years, IDSS has successfully implemented over 200 projects in 46 countries, delivered a range of project management, consultancy and training services across all major sectors and regions of the world and established a Professional Development Program through which hundreds of development professionals have received training in subjects such as monitoring and evaluation, capacity building, community development and approaches to participatory planning.

We work with communities and donors to build communities' self reliance, income security and personal growth and development. We offer projects and stakeholders exceptional access to consultants across all sectors of industry.

IDSS' approach can be defined as social entrepreneurship. We bring communities, donors, commercial partners and non-government organisations together to build communities' self reliance. Our aim is to create opportunities for people to achieve sustainable livelihoods, a sustainable environment, and positive health and education outcomes.

Volunteering

Aurecon is supportive of employees wishing to take time out to pursue altruistic interest. We understand many of our employees are passionate about the world they live in and want to make a difference with their skills.

Each year Aurecon employees are entitled to one day volunteer leave. In addition to that, we're able to accommodate employees who wish to take time out monthly to help out a local charity and arrange extended leave for those who wish to volunteer on a project long term.
