Alabama Road Sewage Pump Station,
New Zealand

We provided all services for the upgrade of the Alabama Road Sewage Pump Station. Careful construction sequencing and pipework layout, together with the use of four identical pumps driven by variable speed drives, ensured the facility remained operational during construction. It is also guarded against the risk of overflow in the event of exceptionally high rainfall and the resulting infiltration into the sewer network. In addition, the project involved the laying of twin polyethylene pressure mains between the pump station and Blenheim's sewage treatment plant, some 5 km away.
